But Evolution is taught as fact
in our U. S. public schools
and has been used
to discredit God,
his glory,
and the wonders of Creation.
Evolution as a theory
fails and is a
misuse of Science
Evolution has led
many of our children
and adults to reject God
and the Bible.
the true potential of Science
Professor John Lennox's Goal is not to destroy atheism in this video, in fact, he does not attack atheism, but gives a respectful and solid basis for his faith based on a reasoning mind and using logic with many references to scientists who agree that the laws of science speak for a divine law giver who is God.
Pastor Daniel, or his staff, in circling the atheist in the picture above (left side) opposing Lennox, presents this video as an apologetic. I don't think it is wise to think of an apologetic argument as destroying the assertions of a person who holds this view. Each person is an individual, made in God's image, and they deserve the right to explore their own belief/s, and the motives that led them to form those beliefs. What is dangerous is to see this mortal life as merely a human, material existence and to deny life beyond what is experienced in the flesh, here and now. There is much evidence that man also has a soul, or a spirit, (words used interchangeably in scripture) which is immortal, which relates to the mind/heart, emotions, and will, and was meant to reflect God as he reveals himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
confession Is good for the soul
Few Christians pray their confessions publicly. Occasionally one may confide with a spouse, a parent, or close friend. Even private confession of one's pride or arrogance toward others is rare. Often large and difficult matters are
brought in prayer with little assurance that God will answer. Most look for an immediate answer and when nothing outwardly happens, they assume God doesn't care or they feel left hanging. How refreshing the following psalm is. The psalmist here states a vow of sorts about his intention to let go of pride and arrogance, perhaps toward God and others. In addition, he affirms his trust. This leads to contentment and peace, and not expecting God to intervene in certain ways in matters that are hard to understand or before their time. It really pictures a willingness to wait and be patient. It points to the wisdom of Phil. 4:6,7 which speaks of letting go of anxiety so one may get a firm hold on peace. It also speaks of keeping one's heart and mind safe "in Christ Jesus" and is worth memorizing.
The second half of this prayer affirms the fifth commandment in honoring one's parents and honoring one's nation, encouraging people to trust in the LORD. I find this prayer quite helpful as I pray for the U.S. elections in November 2024.
children know love
comes before status
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, asking, "Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?" 2 So Jesus called a child to come and stand in front of them, 3 and said, "I assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven.
a Parent's prayer for
their children's learning
"My child, learn what I teach you and never forget what I tell you to do.
Listen to what is wise and try to understand it.
Yes, beg for knowledge; plead for insight.
Look for it as hard as you would for silver or some hidden treasure.
If you do, you will know what it means to fear the Lord and you will succeed in learning about God.
It is the Lord who gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding.
He provides help and protection for those who are righteous and honest.
He protects those who treat others fairly, and guards those who are devoted to him."
