GOSPEL life
sins forgiven in
jesus name
Jesus gave The Great Commission, to his disciples after his resurrection, just before his ascension into heaven. Jesus entrusted his disciples with the responsibility of continuing his work on earth by spreading the gospel. Similarly, in Luke 24:46-47, Jesus says to his disciples, "This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." We are blessed to hear the gospel, but even more when it becomes real in our lives.
please pray
churches will be
renewed & hearts revived
Living with Covid-19 during the last few years has been incredibly hard for so many. Several churches have lost members, pastors, and their buildings. We believe prayer and uniting together is critical to restoring hope and renewal in this region and in this time of great darkness. David Wilkerson of World Challenge said, "New England is the birthplace of revivals in America. Now in sobering times God has seen fit to place this prayer burden on many intercessors. Many are now sharing their heart cry, “Oh Lord, rend the heavens and come down. America needs a spiritual revival more than in any time in history. Lord, do it again!” ( Wilkerson was speaking of the Great Awakening of the 1730's with Jonathan Edwards and
George Whitfield.)
that church members
will pray, gather, & witness
Will you answer God's call and join with the Spirit of God as he moves us to pray and work together in New England? Please join with people in your churches, encouraging your members to take a few minutes each day or each week to pray that the gospel of Christ will be preached, have free course, and be honored in each state and in the United States. We ( Mabel & Tom Stevens) ask that every church in New England that honors God and his gospel would be enabled to pray and gather together. My wife Mabel and I have had the joy of participating in weekly prayer time at the Presbyterian Church of Manchester, CT. We also partner with the missionaries we support by getting fresh requests each month and sending out an email list highlighting answers and blessings. We are thankful to have been members of the loving community at P.C.M. since February of 2005. May God move us to love one another "more and more" as Paul encouraged the Thessalonian Church.
